Appliance Delivery Associate – Conover, WI

The Appliance Delivery Associate is responsible for the delivery of major home appliances to customer homes. In most cases, a two-person team will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods by using team lifting and/or material handling equipment. Attention to detail is required so that no damage occurs to either the merchandise or the customer's property. This is a full-time, year-round, hourly position.

Job Duties

  • • Ability to proficiently drive a delivery truck with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds.
  • • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • • Ability to read and interpret maps, and follow basic GPS navigation.
  • • Inspect and perform routine delivery vehicle maintenance.
  • • Maintain accurate delivery truck records.
  • • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the appearance of delivery trucks.
  • • Ability to use company computer system to access digital delivery calendar.
  • • Coordinates with sales team for special delivery instructions.

  • • Perform minor appliance installation adjustments (i.e., gas conversions, door reversals, hose connections).
  • • Daily disposal of all delivery refuse (empty boxes, packing material, etc).

Physical Demands:

  • • Must possess the ability to: stand for long periods of time; reach with hands and arms; walk throughout delivery sites; sit, stoop, kneel and crouch; and lift, pull, and push 100 pounds.
  • • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all conditions (i.e., extreme temperatures, rain, snow, wind, etc).

Job Requirements:

  • • Must have and maintain a valid unrestricted WI Class D Driver’s License, or equivalent if a resident of MI.
  • • Must be available to work weekends and holidays (as needed), usual schedule M-F 8:00AM - 4:00 PM.
  • • High school graduate or equivalent.

Hardware Associate

The Hardware Associate is primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining the appearance of the sales floor, assisting with the equipment rental program, facing shelves, stocking merchandise, and other inventory related activities. Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate position is primarily responsible for unloading, inspecting, and organizing our appliance and marine inventory. The individual in this position will be trained to safely and proficiently operate various equipment that will be used to accomplish many of the job duties described below. This is a full-time, year round, hourly position.

Job Duties:

  • • Locate, prep, stage, and document appliances for next day delivery or customer pickup.
  • • Review vender packaging/shipping lists for completeness and damage per process.
  • • Unload appliance and marine delivery trucks.
  • • Un-pack appliance and marine deliveries and inspect for damage and missing parts per process.
  • • Report damaged merchandise and missing parts to management per process.
  • • Manage, organize, and document appliance and marine inventory per process.
  • • Assist with appliance and marine inventory cycle counts.
  • • Reset appliance and marine sales floor inventory as needed.
  • • Clean and maintain warehouse, pit area, and equipment per process.
  • • Manage warehouse supplies to insure adequate availability.

Physical Requirements:

  • • Ability to: stand for long periods of time; walk on uneven surfaces; work in high places; reach with hands and arms; move among and between isles; lift, pull and push up to 100 pounds; sit, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch.

Rental Supervisor

The Rental Supervisor is primarily responsible for maintaining the daily operation of our rental program, including but not limited to the maintenance, repair, and inventory of renal equipment. In addition, the rental supervisor will also perform building and grounds maintenance, assist with unloading delivery trucks, stocking merchandise, and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time, year- round, hourly position. Applicant must be mechanically inclined, with experience maintain, repairing, and operating small engine equipment.

Customer Service:

  • • Greet in-store customers and answer phone inquiries.
  • • Accurately and thoroughly fills-out equipment Rental Agreements.
  • • Checks rental equipment in/out.
  • • Starts, stops, and explains how to properly operate rental equipment to customers.
  • • Works with customers to satisfy their needs, and address any issues or complaints they may have.
  • • Helps customers load and/or attach rental equipment as needed.
  • • Uses computer system for sales entry, following-up on customer orders, and other miscellaneous business activities.

Maintenance:

  • • Performs timely inspections on returned rental equipment looking for damage, abuse, & malfunctions.
  • • Submits timely updates to Dept. Manager regarding the rental status of equipment (e.g., ready to rent, out for repairs, etc.).
  • • Schedules and performs preventative maintenance and safety checks on all rental equipment.
  • • Deliver, set-up, take-down, and pickup rental equipment as needed.
  • • Monitors rental rates to ensure competitiveness, submits recommended rate adjustments to Dept. Manager.
  • • Cleans returned rental equipment.

Inventory:

  • • Maintains an accurate inventory count of rental equipment.
  • • Receives inventory orders.
  • • Assesses and maintains proper inventory levels of parts and equipment, submits inventory needs to Dept. Manager.
  • • Assists with the resetting of Hardware inventory.

Other:

  • • Performs misc. job duties such as: repairing screens/windows, pipe cutting/threading, sharpening customer’s tools/equip., building/grounds maintenance, & other duties as assigned.
  • • Helps unload, put away, stage, and deliver Floe products as needed.
  • • Able to work weekends and Holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • • Able to bend, stoop, walk, kneel, reach, stand for long periods of time, and occasionally lift, push, or pull 60lbs.
